Joseph Flack is a partner in Biegel & Waller LLP’s Multistate Tax Services practice.  Mr. Flack has over two decades of public accounting experience serving multistate corporate clients.  He was formerly the Central Atlantic Multistate Tax Practice Leader for Deloitte and Touche.

Mr. Flack’s practice with Biegel & Waller currently serves a number of middle market public and privately held clients providing FAS 109 tax accrual and tax preparation services.  Mr. Flack has extensive experience with corporate taxation, consolidated return reporting, partnership and state and local taxation.  His industry experience includes retail, manufacturing, government contractors and the technology consulting community.

Mr. Flack specializes in the identification and implementation of tax planning strategies for multistate corporate clients.  He provides his clients with extensive expertise in the areas of corporate reorganization and tax controversy including income, franchise, sales and use and gross receipts taxes.  His areas of focus include Maryland, District of Columbia and Virginia income tax issues.

Due to his expertise, Mr. Flack is a highly regarded speaker on technical issues for the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), Institute of Management Accountants, Council of State Taxation (COST), Tax Executives Institute, and Delaware Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Flack is a member of the MACPA and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.  He holds an M.B.A. in corporate finance from the University of North Carolina and an M.S. in Taxation from the University of Baltimore.
