For many years, Magee Rausch & Shelton has found an importance in being involved with its community through various programs and events.

This year marks the 5th Annual Driving-4-Life Golf Tournament, held to benefit the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALSTDI) in raising funds and awareness in the fight against ALS. Each year, Magee Rausch & Shelton volunteers host an all-day golf tournament, inviting their Tulsa area neighbors to take part in the fundraiser. The tournament, which includes an auction and prizes at the close of the day, consists of golfers of all skill levels raising funds for a campaign that will benefit the research and development being pioneered at ALSTDI. Giving back to its community has always been a fundamental element of Magee Rausch & Shelton's overall character. For more than ten years, the firm has devoted part of its Christmas season to help give a local family in its community a Christmas that they would have otherwise been unable to provide for themselves. MRS employees donate their money and time to shopping for a specific family, completing everything from picking out items to wrapping them and preparing their delivery to the families. This event is something held dear to the firm and is a tradition that takes small steps of action toward the betterment of society.

The Pay-It-Forward program, established by MRS founders as a unique firm-wide method of giving back to our neighbors, completed its second annual successful year in 2007. The program is designed where each firm employee is given an equal amount of money, and asked to come up with a way in which to return this money to their community. The ideas are only limited by each employee's creativity, and every year the firm finds new and exciting ways to make a difference through their community with these donations. Whether the money is donated to a local needy family, to a national agency or through various other unique ways, this program is something the firm looks forward to doing as a way to give back to their community, and hopes to spread this idea little by little through each life they change.

Another community-wide tradition that Magee Rausch & Shelton takes part in is the OSCPA Bowling Night, held every year as an event for various accounting firms around Tulsa to come together in a competition of employees. The event is a fun-filled, spirited gathering with a great outcome of employee participation and involvement community-wide. For the past couple of years, MRS employees have bowled their way to victory and top placement among the firms, providing a fun atmosphere for community involvement outside of the workplace.

Several of our employees participate on boards of local non-profit organizations. Our team expands beyond the office throughout the community.
