"Independent Peer Review of Berger & Co. Successful

The Turlock-Modesto CPA firm Berger and Company, Certified Public Accountants has successfully completed an independent peer review of its accounting and audit practice. The review concluded that Berger and Company, CPAs complies with the stringent quality control standards set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the national professional organization of CPAs. The review was administered by the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, in coordination with the AICPA.

The peer review was conducted by Carl M. Arntzen of San Francisco. The reviewer made an independent assessment of quality control policies and procedures and inspected the working papers and reports on a representative sample of accounting and auditing engagements. The firm's administrative files and records were also reviewed and their professional personnel interviewed. The reviewer's report has been accepted by the California Peer Review Committee.

In evaluating a firm's quality controls, a reviewer considers, among other things, what the firm does to ensure it hires only qualified people, that it properly supervises them and provides professional training, that it advances them to responsibilities they are capable of handling and that it provides them with necessary technical resources."

Berger Asset Management, Inc. ("BAM") is a registered investment advisor providing discretionary investment advisory services to individuals, corporations, retirement plans, and estates and trusts.

BAM manages money on a discretionary basis which means we make all of the investment decisions subject to any restrictions or parameters established at the time the client signs an investment contract. BAM does not charge commissions for its services such as a full-service brokerage firm but rather, charges a management fee based on a percentage of assets under management.
