Ky Kirkland, CPA, has over sixteen years of experience in the tax accounting industry. His experience in taxation includes individuals, corporations, partnerships, qualified plans (including defined contribution, defined benefit, and health and welfare plans), and tax-exempt organizations. He has extensive knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code, Internal Revenue Service (IRS) enforcement issues, and the Department of Labor’s (DOL) rules and regulations as they pertain to qualified plans. Ky also has experience consulting with clients on a variety of topics that affect their required IRS filings, qualified plans, and tax-exempt status.
Ky has been with Brock and Company since 1997 as a tax manager. He got his start at Coopers & Lybrand in Denver and then was a tax manager for Monheiser, Rapparlie & Company. He also was a casino general manager in Cripple Creek, CO for five years before joining Brock.
Ky received his Bachelor of Science degree from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee in 1982 and his Masters in Taxation degree from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa in 1984. He is a member of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
