Tony entered public accounting in 1970 and spent the first ten years of his career with a large local firm. He left that firm in 1980 when Veres & Company was formed and became a partner in 1981. In addition to client responsibilities, Tony was responsible for many of the Firm's administrative duties. When Veres & Company joined with Walthall, Drake & Wallace LLP in August 2005, Tony became a partner of the new firm.

Tony is a graduate of John Carroll University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and a major in accounting.

Tony has experience working with a wide variety of clients, including construction contractors, manufacturers, distributors, non-profits and service entities, and is a member of the Firm’s Construction and Manufacturing Practice Groups. In addition to business consulting, he performs traditional accounting services including audits, reviews, compilations and tax planning and compliance. He also performs tax planning and preparation for individuals.

Throughout his career, Tony has been active in many civic and charitable organizations. He is a member of the Mentor Chamber of Commerce, the Ohio Society of CPAs, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of Mentor Harbor Yachting Club, Sunnybrook Trout Club, the Trout Club of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, and the Cleveland Athletic Club.

Tony and his wife, Joyce, reside in Mentor. In his free time he enjoys boating on Lake Erie, fly-fishing and all spectator sports.
