The Director of Taxation for the Firm, Doris has considerable experience in the areas of entity and individual taxation.  She has developed in depth knowledge working with both C and S corporations, as well as partnerships and limited liability companies (LLCs).  In addition, she is familiar with qualified retirement plans and fringe benefit plans, their adoption, administration, and termination at the entity level and the tax implications of contributions and distributions at the participant level.

Doris is a member of the estate, financial and retirement planning groups at Walthall, Drake & Wallace LLP.  She has worked with clients to transfer business and nonbusiness assets.  These plans have included the use of family limited partnerships, nonqualified deferred compensation plans, gifting and various types of sales agreements to minimize tax liability, while accomplishing the transferor's goals.  She has worked with clients in both the area of estate planning and estate tax return preparation.

Doris is a past president of the Tax Club of Cleveland, is a prior member of the OSCPA Tax Legislation Committee and past chairperson of the Cleveland Chapter of the Ohio Society of  Certified Public Accountant's (OSCPA) Tax Committee.  Doris is a member of numerous professional  organizations including The Tax Club of Cleveland, the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland, the American Woman's Society of Certified Public Accountants, and AICPA.  Membership in these various organizations has led to being a speaker at  OSCPA  and client seminars on various tax issues.

Doris received both her MBA and BBA from Cleveland State University.  She and her husband, Douglas, enjoy gardening, travel and reading.
