Jim has been a partner of Walthall, Drake & Wallace LLP and the former Tischler, Beard, Wallace & Co., Ltd since 1994. His commitment to Firm excellence is displayed with leadership roles in the area of Practice Development and Firm decision-making. Other responsibilities include oversight of the Firm's Audit and Accounting Practice and Scheduling. Jim's goal is to meet and exceed the needs of the Firm's existing clients and attract new clients to the WD&W family.

While Jim's areas of expertise involve clients in a wide variety of industries, he devotes a significant portion of his time servicing clients in the Construction and Real Estate industries and is a member of the Firm’s Practice Groups in those specified areas. He has helped clients in these industries procure acquisition financing, manage workers compensation, bonding, and property and casualty insurance costs, settle contract claims, resolve sales tax issues, prepare prospective financial statements used in conjunction with potential acquisitions, prepare specialized reports for regulatory agencies, and analyze and refine the allocation of overhead applied during the bid process. He has also assisted his clients in preparing financial statements and income tax returns that require extensive knowledge of the complex and unique tax and accounting regulations that apply to these industries.

Jim's involvement in these industries includes past and present active memberships in several industry trade groups. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the North Coast BIA. Past memberships have included the OCA, CFMA, Builders Exchange, The Surety Association, and the AGC. Jim is also a member of both the AICPA and the Ohio Society of CPAs.

Jim's leadership role expands beyond his profession and into the community. He has been active in his church as the financial secretary, Sunday school andvacation bible school teacher, and confirmation assistant. He is an active member of Spring Valley Country Club and is President of the Cardinal Band Boosters, a non-profit organization devoted to supporting the instrumental music program in his community's public school system. Jim has also devoted many volunteer hours to assist with numerous community projects designed to support youth after school programs.

Jim received his B.B.A. degree from Bowling Green State University in 1982. He, his wife Michele, and their three children Melissa, Samantha, and Sarah reside in Sheffield. They enjoy golf, tennis, swimming, bike riding, and the outdoors.
