Rick is the Partner in charge of the Tax Department and a member of the Firm’s Management Committee. He joined the Firm in 1984 after graduating from Cleveland State University. While Rick has worked with a wide range of clients, many of his clients are concentrated in the manufacturing, service, and construction industries. Through his engagement experience at Walthall, Drake & Wallace LLP, Rick has developed an expertise auditing, taxation, and accounting, with a special focus in the taxation issues of Subchapter S Corporations.

In addition to his own client work, Rick is responsible for supervising and training the staff assigned to his project teams. He is a member of the Firm’s Employee Benefit Plan Group and the Estate Planning Practice Group and the Manufacturing Practice Group, which he chairs.

Rick is a member of many organizations including: the AICPA, Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, Construction Financial Management Association, Strongsville Chamber of Commerce, and Strongsville High School Sports Boosters. He has served as the chairman of the Cleveland Chapter of the OSCPAs Construction Committee and is currently the treasurer for the Stallions Athletic Organization.

Rick and his wife, Monica, live in Strongsville with their children, Jason, Jessica, and Jennifer. Rick participates in many sporting activities including fishing, running, and golf. In addition, he's known as "Coach Rick" by his children's baseball, basketball, and soccer teams. His interest in sports also extends to sports card collecting and fantasy sports leagues.
