A native of Lamesa, Texas, Mark Lawley received a Bachelor of Business
Administration degree in Accounting from Texas A & M University in 1956. Following college, Mark served in the United States Army as a First Lieutenant.
Mark is a CPA in Arkansas and Texas. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Arkansas Society of CPAs. The Texas Society of CPAs benefits from Mark’s active membership as he has served on the Board of Directors, the Ethics committee and the Litigation Support Conference Committee. He also served as President of the Southern and Western Accounting Group in 1990. Mark served as President of the Texarkana Chapter of CPAs and was named Outstanding President of Small Chapters by the Texas Society of CPAs in 1981-82.
Mark’s clientele includes hospitals, trusts and estates, hotels and restaurants, insurance agencies, physicians, profit sharing and pension plans, publishers, real estate, and vending operators.
Mark and his wife, Fran, are members of Rose Hill Baptist Church where he is currently serving as deacon. He also serves as Secretary of the Bobbie A. Atkinson Foundation, member of the Board of Directors of the Texas A & M University – Texarkana University Foundation, the East Texas Food Bank Foundation, and the Texarkana Library Foundation. He was named Executive of the year for 1992-93 by the Twice as Nice Chapter of Professional Secretaries International.
