David joined Johanson & Yau in 1999 and is a partner of the firm. Previously, he was a tax manager in a "Big 5" international accounting firm and joined Johanson & Yau in order to provide a more personal level of service to small and medium-sized businesses. David graduated from San Jose State University in 1984 and has a master's degree in taxation.

David specializes in tax compliance and planning services for corporations, individuals and partnerships. He also has extensive experience in taxation for companies conducting business in multiple states and countries.

David has spoken at tax planning seminars. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
