Sheryl joined Johanson & Yau in 1994 after spending most of her career with a large independent firm in Los Angeles. She graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara and has a masters degree in taxation from Golden Gate University.

Sheryl specializes in tax compliance and planning services for individuals, estates and trusts. She is experienced in various aspects of wealth preservation including charitable trusts and private foundations. She also has extensive experience in taxation for corporations and partnerships, including start-up businesses.

Sheryl has spoken at wealth preservation and estate planning seminars. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is also a member of the Santa Clara County Estate Planning Council and represents the firm on the board of the Stanford-MIT Venture Lab.
