Tony co-founded Johanson & Yau in 1979. Previously, he was a partner in the tax department of a large international accounting firm. He is a graduate of the University of Nevada-Reno and has a masters degree in accounting from San Jose State University. He began his public accounting career in 1970.

Tony specializes in providing tax planning services to owner-managed businesses. He also is an expert in taxation issues for foreigners doing business in the United States and financial and estate planning for high net worth individuals.

Tony is fluent in both the Mandarin and Cantonese languages. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the Santa Clara County Estate Planning Council and the West San Jose-Campbell Lions Club. He is a director of the Chinese Association of International Trade and a member of the Asia American Manufacturers Association.
