Ed started with the firm in 1968 after serving his active tour of duty with the United States Navy. A graduate of Quinsigamond Community College, he received his Associate degree in Business Administration, after which he attended Clark University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Ed’s areas of expertise include start-up businesses, retail, construction, manufacturing and service entities. Clients serviced by Ed range from individuals to small/medium sized closely held entities. Ed serves on various service organizations. He is presently serving his fourth term as President of the North Worcester Business Association and is on the Board of Directors of the Harmony Club of Worcester. He is the Harmony Club of Worcester Golf Tournament organizer and has served on that committee for the last decade. He has also served as President of the Harmony Club of Worcester for five years, Treasurer/Equipment Coordinator and coach for thirteen years for the Worcester Youth Soccer League, Treasurer for seven years for the Rutland Sportsman’s Club and Treasurer for political campaigns. Ed has assisted in organizing multi-ethnic festivals and free park concerts with public radio station WCUW. Ed has also served twelve years in the United States Naval Reserve. Ed is married, and he and his wife Cindy have four grown children. Ed and Cindy are proud grandparents to eleven grandchildren.
After graduating with honors from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1976, Ed started his career in public accounting with a major regional accounting firm in Boston, Massachusetts. He then joined KBKF in 1977. Early in his career, Ed recognized that tax planning and tax savings are very important to all business owners. With this in mind, he obtained a Master of Science in Taxation degree from Bentley College to better serve his clients. Ed became a principal of KBKF in 1982. He heads the firm’s Quality Review Committee and Continuing Education Committee. His client’s include manufacturers, service providers, distributors, contractors, and a large waste management and recycling company. He also enjoys working with Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) companies and understands the opportunities an ESOP can offer a company and its owners under the right circumstances. Ed is active in the community. He has served on the Town of West Boylston Finance Committee, as President of the Kiwanis Club of Worcester and Assistant Treasurer of the Massachusetts Biotechnology Research Institute.
David graduated magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts - Lowell in 1979, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He began his career at KBKF upon graduation. David later attended Anna Maria College where he graduated with highest honors with a Masters in Business Administration. David became a principal of KBKF in 1986 and currently serves as head of the firms Personnel Committee. His clients include condominium associations, retailers, distributors, manufacturers, real estate ventures, trucking companies, network providers and profit sharing plans. His clients consist of closely held businesses and individuals. David enjoys developing relationships, which allows him to help his clients become more successful. David is active in a number of non-profit organizations. He is an officer and coach for Holden Baseball. He also currently coaches youth basketball and soccer in Holden. He is past President of the North Worcester Business Association and a volunteer for a number of school organizations in Holden. David is married, and he and his wife Kelle have two children.
Nancy started with the firm in 1983 after graduating from Anna Maria College where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business. Throughout her career, Nancy has been involved with Nonprofit Organizations both professionally and personally. Professionally, she is the partner in charge of the Nonprofit area of the firm. Personally, she was the past treasurer of Greater Worcester Habitat of Humanity and Friends of Worcester Senior Center. Her clients also include profit sharing plans, limited liability corporations, service entities and individuals. She enjoys working closely with clients to meet both their accounting and management needs. Nancy, a life long resident of Worcester, is married and has a daughter.
