Alan is the partner-in-charge of our Tax and Business Advisory practice. Prior to joining KMH, Alan was the office managing partner and head of the tax department of the Honolulu office of Grant Thornton LLP. With more than twenty years of experience in public accounting, Alan recognized that the rapidly changing competitive environment on the mainland was having a dramatic impact on the national firms operating in Hawaii. Realizing that the future prospects for these firms in Hawaii were becoming increasingly uncertain and having the same shared vision as the partners in the newly formed firm of KMH LLP, Alan accepted the position of leading our tax practice.
