Wils is an audit partner with KMH. Prior to joining KMH, Wils was the partner in charge of the audit department of the Honolulu office of Grant Thornton LLP. Wils and Alan worked together for many years serving common clients at Grant Thornton. Accordingly, he shares Alan’s vision of the future of public accounting in Hawaii.

Al is a Certified Public Accountant and was a Partner at Ernst & Young LLP until his retirement from the firm on December 31, 2002. He has over 29 years of experience in consulting with a variety of clients on tax and business issues.

- Al was the partner in charge of the valuation of the real property on the acquisition by of Amfac by JMB
- Has worked on a wide variety of entities, including hotel operators, real estate developers, retailers, non-profits, financial institutions and healthcare providers
- Partner in Charge of the dissolution of the McDonalds of Hawaii Development Company
- Has coauthored the annual publication “Taxes of Hawaii”

Peter was born and raised in the islands and is an audit partner at KMH and serves as the partner-in-charge of the KMH Solutions(SM) division.

- Extensive experience in connection with SEC filings, initial public offerings and private placement of real estate investment securities
- Worked in the Los Angeles commercial and real estate services group of Andersen for six years before transferring to Honolulu in 1994

Alton was born and raised in the islands and joined KMH as a partner in early 2005. Alton brings over twenty-five years of experience in the not-for-profit arena and has served many educational institutions and Insurance companies in Hawaii.

- While at KPMG LLP, over twenty-five years of experience in providing accounting, advisory and consulting services to not-for-profit, education, healthcare, and insurance organizations

- Served on several premiere non-profit and healthcare organizations in Hawaii, including St. Francis Healthcare Systems, Hawaii Health Systems Corporation, The University of Hawaii Foundation, Iolani Schools, Hawaii Baptist Academy, The Queen’s Health Systems, and others
- Significant experience in the property and casualty, life and health insurance industries serving as engagement partner on Hawaii Medical Service Association, Island Insurance, and First Insurance Co. of Hawaii

Alan is the partner-in-charge of our Tax and Business Advisory practice. Prior to joining KMH, Alan was the office managing partner and head of the tax department of the Honolulu office of Grant Thornton LLP. With more than twenty years of experience in public accounting, Alan recognized that the rapidly changing competitive environment on the mainland was having a dramatic impact on the national firms operating in Hawaii. Realizing that the future prospects for these firms in Hawaii were becoming increasingly uncertain and having the same shared vision as the partners in the newly formed firm of KMH LLP, Alan accepted the position of leading our tax practice.

Judy is a Principal in the firm and has nearly 20 years of experience assisting Hawaii-based businesses with accounting, financial reporting and business process solutions. Judy was with Arthur Andersen’s Business Process Outsourcing division for nine years prior to joining KMH LLP.
