Mann. Weitz & Associates was founded in 1994 by Mark Mann and Len Weitz. Both had begun their accounting careers by working at “Big Six” accounting firms and both shared a vision for creating a firm that would be large enough to provide clients with expert advice and leading edge solutions, but small enough to provide clients with the personalized attention and service that they deserve.

Today, Mann. Weitz & Associates employs more than 30 associates who share our founders’ commitment to client service.

Headquartered in the Chicago metropolitan area, we serve clients located throughout the country. Our firm is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AIPCA) and the Illinois CPA Society. In addition, the firm is a member of Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center for CPA firms . The Center is a national community of CPA firms that demonstrates a commitment to employee benefit plan audit quality and raise awareness about the importance of employee benefit plan audits. The firm has also joined the Governmental Audit Quality Center of the AICPA to assure we meet the quality control standards requirements for monitoring and establishing annual internal inspection procedures that include a review of the firm's governmental audit practice by individuals possessing current experience and knowledge of the accounting and auditing practices specific to governmental audits.

As a member of the AICPA's Private Companies Practice Section, we participate in their independent peer review program. Our most recent review received an unqualified opinion with respect to our quality control policies and procedures in conducting our audit and accounting practice.

To ensure that we can meet the needs of our global clients, Mann. Weitz is a member of Integra International – an interactive global association of local independent Accounting and Consulting firms dedicated to exchanging information and advising growing businesses and professionals.
