Marla received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Accountancy, from California State University Fresno in August 1988.

Marla is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California and is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Mrs. Borges is currently serving a three term as treasurer of the Leadership Tulare program, supported by the Tulare Chamber of Commerce. Marla was a participant and graduated from the Leadership Tulare program in 1996. She also has held the position of auditor for the St. Aloysius Parents Club for the past two years and served as a volunteer on the 2001 annual campaign for the Kaweah Delta Hospital Foundation. Marla is very active in St. Aloysius School and serves on various committees. She works on several charity golf events and is a member of the Visalia Country Club.

Marla joined M. Green and Company LLP in 1989 and became a California Certified Public Accountant in 1993. She was promoted to Manager in September 1996 and was admitted as a Partner in the Visalia office on January 1, 2001.

Over the past twelve years, Marla has acquired considerable experience in both governmental and private industry accounting and auditing. She has experience in all areas of taxation and has spent a significant amount of time in the area of agriculture. In addition, she is very involved in the field of auditing school and special districts.

Marla and her husband, Eric, are natives of Tulare and have two girls, Courtney and Ericka. She enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering for school activities. Her interests include golfing as often as she can, coaching and being team mother for Courtney’s various sports teams, and shopping.
