Mr. Fairweather primarily practices in the areas of financial planning, business valuation, litigation support, and tax planning/preparation. He has assisted numerous clients in developing, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring all aspects of their finances. These projects range from a single planning segment, such as projecting retirement cash flows, through developing a comprehensive financial plan. He has extensive experience and knowledge in the areas of tax planning, investment planning and analysis, budgeting, asset allocation and asset protection. Mr. Fairweather is often involved with insurance and risk management, retirement and employee benefits planning, as well as estate planning. Mr. Fairweather has been involved in purchases and sales of small and large businesses ranging from professional practices to manufacturing businesses. Mr. Fairweather's practice includes litigation support. He has been an expert witness in a variety of civil cases, primarily divorce.

Mr. Fairweather is often hired to serve as an "independent CFO" for closely held business owners. This provides the business owner with the benefits of having a CPA on staff without all of the associated costs and administration requirements.

Mr. Fairweather graduated from Minot State University in North Dakota in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, as well as a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Finance. In 1990, Mr. Fairweather began his professional practice as an auditor with the regional accounting firm of Brady Martz & Associates. In 1992, he became a staff accountant with Barrett/Gurovich, P.C. He was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Colorado during 1993. He became a licensed Certified Financial Practitioner® (CFP)® in Colorado during 1998. Mr. Fairweather became accredited as a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) in 1999. This accreditation recognizes his special training in the area of business valuations. He became a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), accredited by the A1CPA during 2001. He is a member in good standing of several professional organizations including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, The Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants, The Financial Planning Association, and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
