Services to Lenders

 Pender Newkirk & Company is unique in that it has a dedicated Lender Services Group that provides services specifically tailored to lenders in financial institutions. The best-known service is the distribution of a bi-monthly publication, The Commercial Lending Report, covering accounting topics of particular interest to the lending community. It is a highly regarded publication read by most lenders and their underwriters in our area. The group also provides services to lenders to assist in the monitoring of assets used as security for loans. This service, commonly called Special Purpose Investigations, may allow the financial institution more flexibility in tracking the underlying collateral without the need for the borrower to undergo a more expensive and time-consuming audit of their entire financial statements. Many times, these investigations are used in conjunction with financial statement audits as an interim overview between annual financial statements.

A very special service offered by the Lender Services Group is the Lender Hotline, whereby members of the group address general accounting and tax questions from lenders on a no-charge basis. The service is available to all financial institutions and can be accessed by calling (813) 229-2321 and requesting the Lender Hotline or by emailing us via the LenderHotline@pnccpa.com. A further extension of the Lender Hotline is the group's educational seminars provided to financial institutions generally at no-charge. There is a diverse set of topics available, all focused toward commercial lenders and their special informational needs.
