REFJ History

On November 1, 1980, Herbert E. Robins III and Clair E. Eskew formed the firm of Herbert E. Robins, III and Associates, with their offices located on Old National Highway in College Park, Georgia. In September 1981, the firm admitted Harold Wayne Farmer as a partner and at the same time changed the name to Robins, Farmer and Associates.

In the following year, it became apparent that additional space would be needed; therefore, in December 1982, the firm moved its offices to a larger building also located on Old National Highway. In February 1983, the firm incorporated and changed its name to Robins, Eskew & Farmer, P.C.

As the firm continued to grow successfully, it once again became apparent that additional office space was needed. In May 1986, the firm moved into the Metro South Executive Center located on Highway 85 in Riverdale, Georgia.

In January 1992, Paul Smith was admitted as the practice's fourth partner. Due to the firm's desire to grow in the Henry County area, a satellite office was opened in October 1992 in Stockbridge. In December 1994, the Stockbridge office was relocated to a new, larger facility. Dan Clum was made the practice's fifth partner on January 1, 1998.

The Riverdale office was relocated to a new facility in Fayetteville on September 1, 2000.

Greg Pace was named as sixth partner on January 1, 2001.

The firm merged with Jordan & Co. P.C. on December 1, 2001, and Lee Jordan was named as the seventh partner. The firm was renamed Robins, Eskew, Farmer & Jordan P.C. A third office location was added at that time in the Northlake area of Atlanta.

On June 30, 2004, Clair Eskew retired from the firm, with six partners remaining.

On September 1, 2004, the firm merged with Williams-Keeling P.C. in Suwanee, Georgia. Emory Williams retired as a result of the buyout, and Melanie Keeling was named the seventh partner.

On July 1, 2007, Harold Wayne Farmer, Jr., left the firm and the name was changed to Robins, Eskew, Smith & Jordan, P.C. on January 1, 2008.

The firm now has four locations throughout the Atlanta, Georgia area:  Fayetteville in Fayette County, managed by Paul Smith; Eagle’s Landing in Henry County, managed by Dan Clum; Northlake of Atlanta, managed by Lee Jordan; and Suwanee in Gwinnett County, managed by Greg Pace and Melanie Keeling. Herbert E. Robins, III remains the managing partner of the firm.
