Allen L. Basso, CPA, has been a financial and business consultant since 1973. Prior to joining Smith, Linden & Basso, LLP in 1977, Al was with KPMG, LLP (formerly Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co.) an international certified public accounting firm, where Al provided financial accounting and consulting services for Fortune 500 companies as well as privately held businesses. His clients consisted primarily of manufacturing, distribution, real estate and construction companies.
Al specializes in the areas of "proactive" business planning and consulting, structuring of mergers and acquisitions, tax planning and business entity reorganization, restructuring and formation. He has primary responsibility for general business and transactional consulting and analysis, "deal" structuring, mergers and acquisitions, debt restructuring and overall tax planning for corporations and highly compensated individuals.
Al graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Southern California in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
