QUALIFICATIONS FOR ALL POSITIONS
Team

To
ensure that our clients are well served, we can only consider qualified
candidates. Our team members are smart, goal-oriented, self-motivated, and

Technology
is Our Friend
Our
firm is committed to use of technology in our daily operations and the
delivery of client services. All our computer equipment is current and
upgraded every two years. We use a variety of software programs, including
MS Word® and MS Excel®, as well as other Windows-based programs unique
to CPA firms. Additionally,
everyone has a high-speed Internet connection, and is expected to use the
Internet as a research tool. Our preferred e-mail client is Microsoft
Outlook 2000.
All
auditors are assigned a high-end IBM ThinkPad.
All work paper preparation is electronic.
We use ePace! Software – imagine of it as Word and Excel on
steroids! If you know Word and Excel, you’ll know ePace!
Flexibility
Aside
from the requisite technical expertise and skill, we ask that you have
good oral and written communication skills, and enjoy working with clients
of varying accounting and financial experience; you'll spend more time
helping our clients than you may have at other CPA firms.

AUDIT
MANAGER
Responsibilities:
You'll
be responsible for a variety of audit and review.
In addition, it's likely that you'll assist a few of our small and
emerging businesses with the development and implementation of their
accounting policies and procedures. You
may occasionally be asked to take on special assignments, such as acting
as interim controller.
Experience:
CPA
with three to six years of experience. You'll have gained most, if not
all, of your experience while working for a large accounting firm. You
must have recent audit experience and a good knowledge of generally
accepted accounting principles and auditing standards.
Education:
Qualified
candidates will have at least a 4-year college degree.
TAX
MANAGER
Responsibilities:
You'll
be responsible for a variety of corporate, S-corporation, partnership, LLC,
LLP, and individual income tax clients.
Some of our corporate tax clients are publicly-held companies and
file consolidated tax returns in multiple states.
You'll also be responsible for assisting clients with income tax
planning throughout the year, and preparing income tax projections and
quarterly tax estimate calculations for business and individual clients.
Occasionally, you may be asked to take on a special project tax
assignment with one of our larger tax clients or research tax issues.
Experience:
We're
looking for certified tax professionals with three to six years of
experience. Candidates should have gained most, if not all, of their
experience while working for a large accounting firm. You must have recent income tax experience with a broad range
of tax issues, including preparing and/or reviewing income tax returns for
both businesses and individuals.
Education:
Qualified candidates will
have at least 4 years of college.
ACCOUNTANT/BOOKKEEPER
Responsibilities:
As
a bookkeeper with Zajac Perrone, you'll have a direct, working
relationship with many of our small and emerging clients; many will rely
on you for guidance to properly maintain their accounting and financial
records. Your
responsibilities will include helping our clients select the right
accounting software and training them how to use it, and instructing them
in good accounting practices and procedures to record everyday accounting
transactions.
You'll review some of these clients' work on a monthly or quarterly
basis and make the necessary revisions as required.
For those clients needing assistance, you'll also be responsible
for preparing various payroll and sales tax reports, as well as W-2s and
1099s at year-end. Additionally, you'll be asked to assist with closing
the books for tax clients and assisting with various tasks, such as
preparing bank reconciliation’s and general ledger account analysis.
Experience:
Three
to six years' experience with similar responsibilities as those previously
described. It's essential
that you have experience working with a variety of accounting software
programs, in particular QuickBooks®, Quicken®, and the family of
Peachtree® accounting software programs.
